When Music and Art come together... it is a wonderful thing.

Art and Music.....
Thomas Jackson brings his two talents together in his art, he shares his original paintings and music weekly along the Gulf Coast in Mississippi.  You can find Thomas Jackson playing his guitar and singing the songs he writes, all surrounded by his wonderful and playful paintings.  Take in the live show and take some art home, both CD's and paintings are available for purchase at his shows.

Everything Thomas does is original.  He played in Ocean Springs MS last weekend to an entertained lively crowd.  One song is available here, his own "Shack Up Inn".  His folk style songs offer lighthearted lyrics, relaxing and easy to smile to music.  This one man band provides a calm depth to his musical style, a playful escape that is rich in Southern charm.

Thomas often will bring his art when he sings.  His art has a child-like iconography as the images seem to suggest a more complex balance of color and shapes.  Though many of his drawings are of popular super heroes, such as Batman, The Hulk, Spiderman and more, Thomas Jackson does produce plenty of real heroes in the music world.  His art is special, as is his music.
A love for music even comes out in his images.

Always nice to see him live and hear some original tunes and take in his latest art work.  Look for Thomas on Facebook to find out when he will be playing on the gulf coast next.

Let music fuel the soul.... and a quote from Hunter S. Thompson.

Music means so much to people, the sounds are so personal.  Still, music is a strong tie that can unite us all.

“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.”  a quote from― Hunter S. Thompson

Music as energy, think about it.  Fill up with some high octane gulf coast, listen to The Tree-OH.  Jojo Morris on bass, had toured with the famous band Spro Gyra.  Have a listen to an original song, "Coconut Man".
"Coconut Man" -with Bob Erickson, Jojo Morris and Hugh O'Neil on drums.
Feel the energy.  Feel the fun.
Grayson Capps is a gulf coast favorite for a reason.  Take a listen to his
wonderful spirited song.  Capps offers his own earthy tone to his songs.
This one he performed at MS Songwriters Festival with Sugarcane Jane.
Take a listen.
